Every shoot has a purpose. Some aim to fill gallery walls and others build bridges. For us, this was a little of both.
We set out with Edgefield Aviation, one of Oregon’s premier helicopter services, to capture Portland and its surrounding landscapes from above, not just with technical precision, but with emotion, impact, and intention. This wasn’t just aerial photography. It was a visual handshake, a first impression and a starting point for a relationship we hope will grow deeper over time.
Edgefield Aviation is a fast-moving operator, known for their high-production work across agriculture, forestry, fire management, and industrial support. But now, they’re expanding into seasonal tour flights, offering the public a rare chance to see Oregon from the sky. We wanted to contribute something different: a mood board in motion. A set of visuals that show Portland’s rugged beauty in a way that resonates not just with viewers…. but with visionaries.
The timing was perfect. Weather, light, visibility, all the elements aligned. From bridges slicing through fog to wide forest canopies embracing the edges of the city, we flew with purpose. Our photography had layers: capturing scale, texture, and character. Not just postcard shots but images with teeth.
We walked away with more than content. We walked away with potential.
This shoot was our handshake. The first scene in what we hope will become a full-length narrative. One that reflects Edgefield’s range, grit, and ambition from the inside out.
Stay tuned.
